Replacement Filter Set up Guide
How do I prepare and set up my water filter system?
Before using your new filter, it’s important to properly rinse and prepare it to ensure the best performance and water quality.
1. Prepare your filter cartridge
Start by rinsing the filter under cold tap water for about 5–10 minutes, or until the water runs clear. This helps remove any loose carbon dust from the manufacturing process.
Next, place the filter in a bowl or bucket of cold water and let it soak for around 12 hours. This step allows the filtration media to fully activate.
Avoid using hot water, boiling water, or any detergents, as these can damage the filter.
2. Set up your water purifier tank (16L & 20L)
Wash all components — including the top and bottom tanks, lid, and base — using mild soapy water, then rinse thoroughly.
Install the tap by inserting it into the hole in the lower tank. Make sure the silicone washers are positioned on both sides of the tank wall to prevent leaks, then tighten the nut securely by hand.
Attach the prepared filter cartridge to the upper tank or joining ring (depending on your model). It should be firmly secured, but don’t over-tighten.
If your unit includes Maifan stones, give them a quick rinse under tap water and place them at the bottom of the lower tank.
3. First use
Once everything is assembled, fill the top chamber with water and allow it to filter through. For best results, discard the first full tank of filtered water to flush out any remaining fine particles.
